Poopsies {Review and Giveaway}

I wrote this post on behalf of Poopsies and received a promotional item to thank me for my time.  All opinions regarding Poopsies are my own and were not influenced by other sources.

If you are a parent, you know all too well about blowouts.  And goodness, they are not fun.  I remember my first experience with Big C.  She was in the hospital for a while, and each day I would bring her a cute, new outfit to wear.  But this particular day, I should of brought an extra outfit for myself.

Her big blowout got all over mommy.  My sweater, pants, even my socks and shoes were covered in her poop.  Oh, what a day!  I sure do wish she was wearing a Poopsies.  So what is a Poopsies?  Well, Little M is making his big debut in the reviewing world to show you just what Poopsies are all about.

Poopsies are stylish and unique onesies created with a waterproof and breathable material that protects against diaper blowouts and other leaks.  The lining keeps diaper blowouts inside and prevents ruining clothing.

Poopsies are made from a blend of cotton and rayon, giving it a stretchy and comfy feel.  All Poopsies come with a breathable lining to protect against diaper rash.  And each one is hypoallergenic, machine washable and made in the USA.

Designed by a mommy of four, Poopsies was created out of Annemarie’s own frustration with diaper blowouts.  She designed them to be safe and environmentally friendly for all children to wear.

Poopsies are very easy to get on and off your baby, just like a regular onesie.  And your little one will look just as cute as Little M, sporting his grey and yellow stripped poopsies.  This outfit is even a favorite of daddy’s.

Happy “Due” Day

Today is our little man’s due date.  And he is already 5 weeks old.  Though the nights have been long, the weeks are going by quickly.  And he is GROWING!  From 5 lbs 4 oz at birth, he now weighs 8 lbs and 6 oz.  I often imagine how life would have been different if today he entered this world, but God had a better plan.  Thank you for filling our lives with so much love, little man!

Precious Moments Little Book Of Bedtime {Review and Giveaway}

I wrote this post on behalf of Tommy Nelson and received a promotional item to thank me for my time.  All views and opinions regarding Tommy Nelson and the Little Book of Bedtime are my own and were not influenced by other sources.

Our regular bedtime routine has changed up a bit since our Little Man was born.  Instead of both mommy and daddy reading Big C a story good night, daddy takes on jammy duty and I take on bedtime stories.

Big C was super excited to take a bath, jump in her jammies and read her new bedtime book, Precious Moments Little Book of Bedtime.

Little Book of Bedtime consists of short poems, prayers and scriptures that are perfect for toddlers ages 1 – 4.  Big C even recognized a few from her other nursery rhyme books.  I appreciate the hard cover, board book because it last much longer in toddler hands.  And Big C enjoys the beautiful illustrations throughout the book.

You can purchase this book for $9.99 at TommyNelson.com or choose from a variety of other faith products.  Stay connected with Tommy Nelson on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest for all their latest promotions.

Little Man Turns One Month Old

I can’t believe it’s been a month already.  Seriously, this seems impossible.  And to think, he isn’t even due for another week.

This little guy doesn’t do much but eat, sleep and poop.  Some nights he falls asleep easily between feedings and other nights it takes a long time.  We haven’t developed any type of a schedule yet, we’re just taking it a day at a time.  He’ll be able to leave the house in about another month.  I’m sure we’ll fall into some sort of routine then.

Big C has been really good with him.  She likes to help me hold his bottle, give him toys to play with, and calms him down when he cries.  She’s a great big sister!  The other day she asked me, “Mommy, when (Little Man) gets bigger, can he toot?”  Oh, the minds of toddlers.

At one month old, he looks just like his daddy

Organic Labor and Delivery Gown {Review and Giveaway}

I wrote this post on behalf of Milk and Baby and received a promotional item to thank me for my time.  All opinions regarding Milk and Baby and the Labor Gown are my own and were not influenced by outside sources.

Every mommy-to-be wants to feel beautiful, even when you are on your hospital bed ready to go into labor.  But those dreaded hospital gowns just won’t cut it.  I was really looking forward to wearing the Ella Organic Labor and Delivery Gown when it was time to deliver our baby boy.

Because things went unexpectedly different and I ended up with an emergency c-section, I never had the chance to wear this comfy and stylish gown during labor.  Instead, I wore this not-so-stylish, nor comfy, hospital gown.
But I wanted to share with you all the that I love about the Ella Gown anyway.  Not only is it stylish and comfortable, it actually closes in the back, so you don’t have to wear two gowns.  One in the front and one in the back, to fully cover yourself.
The Ella Gown is made from 100% Organic Cotton, which gives you that comfy feeling without harsh chemicals.  It snaps down the back for complete coverage and provides snaps in the front to make it easy for medical exams and for breastfeeding.
Though Ella was my favorite style, these gowns come in many different styles, colors and sizes which you can check out at MilkandBaby.com.  You can purchase the same gown I have for $49.99 or choose from a variety of other gowns and accessories to make your hospital stay feel more like home.
Stay connected with Milk and Baby on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest  for the latest updates and deals! MilkandBaby.com is generously giving away one Labor and Delivery Gown of your choice.  Simply fill out the Rafflecopter form below to enter.

Our Little Man’s Birth Story

I knew early on in my pregnancy that our little man was very strong.  His kicks would come when I least expected it and they felt like bolts of lightning (not that I know what that feels like, I’m just imagining).  We thought for sure we would be setting up a c-section a week before my due date, because our little man was transverse and unable to get through the scar tissue just above my cervix.

But this little guy was strong enough to break through.  In fact, eight weeks before my due date, my water broke as I laid in bed.  On our brand new mattress, I might add.  It was very late at night and we were really confused as to whether it really was my water.  I just didn’t think it was possible.  We woke up Baby C, who is now Big C, and headed to the ER.

It was in fact my water that broke and I was placed on immediate bed rest at the hospital.  Our goal was to keep this little man inside until he reached 34 weeks.  Those were some long, sometimes very lonely, and painful weeks.  But our son (I’m still getting used to saying that) continued to be strong, so I knew I had to be strong for him.

At 34 weeks and a few days, I was given what I needed to begin the process of natural child birth (because when I was admitted into the hospital, he turned head down).  After a couple of hours of labor, I called my husband to come in.  The contractions were getting painful.  When I was checked to see how far dilated I was, it was only 3 cm, and his head was no longer down.  Once again, this little guy flipped and now we were preparing for a c-section.

On the morning of February 17th, we welcomed our son into the world weighing in at 5 lbs and 3 oz and 19 inches long.  After meeting him, he was sent to the NICU right away and I was sent to recovery.  Little Man was released from the NICU 10 days later and is now home with his big sister.
